Setting Up Your Profile

Your profile is how teammates recognize you across Contract Analyzer. Click your avatar in the top-right and pick Account to open the profile page at /account. Three things to set: a photo, a display name, and (if you want) a new password.

Profile Photo

Click your avatar on the Account page and upload an image from your device. Contract Analyzer stores it to S3 and swaps the placeholder for your photo immediately.

Your photo appears in three places:

  • The avatar in the top-right of every page
  • Member lists on projects you belong to
  • Any activity you leave in a project (edits, analyses, overrides)

A real headshot makes review faster for everyone — especially on projects with more than a handful of members.

Display Name

Set your display name in the Display Name field. It's used:

  • In invite emails you send ("Alex Chen invited you to...")
  • On the member list of every project you join
  • Wherever Contract Analyzer attributes an action to a user

If you're working with clients or external counsel on a project, use your real name. "alex92" is fine for a solo workspace; less fine when your counterparty is reading the member list.

Password

To change your password, click Change Password, enter your current password, and pick a new one. Cognito's default password rules apply — length plus complexity (uppercase, lowercase, number, symbol).

You'll stay logged in after a successful change; other sessions remain active until their tokens expire.

One Thing You Can't Set Here

Your role on a project — Owner, Editor, or Viewer — isn't part of your profile. It's set by whoever invited you, per project, and can only be changed by a project Owner from inside that project. If you need a role change, ask the project Owner directly.

→ For the full breakdown of what each role can and can't do, see Roles & Capabilities.
